MCG RAISES FLAGPOLE

WHAT: A 60 foot flagpole was installed on the grounds of the Medical College of Georgia Hospital and Clinics. A new United States and Georgia state flag will be also be raised on that flagpole.

WHEN: Friday, September 28, 2001. The crane arrived at 1:30 to begin the installation process. The pole was installed into the ground and once the pole was set, the flags were raised according to proper flag decorum.

WHERE: Near the intersection of Harper and 15th Streets on the MCG Hospital and Clinics campus.

WHY: To further show the patriotic spirit of the country.

MCG HealthCare is the health system of the Medical College of Georgia and is comprised of MCG Health, Inc. and the clinical services offered by the faculty of the School of Medicine and the members of the Physicians Practice Group.
