Augusta, GA -- The Easter Seals Foundation recently named MCG Health, Inc. Georgia�s 2001 Employer of the Year.
"MCG Hospitals and Clinics has worked with us for a number of years. They look through the disability and provide people the opportunity to work," said Easter Seals Rehabilitation Director Nicole Dellario. MCGHI was a unanimous selection for this year�s award.
"We partner with Easter Seals to provide job opportunities for people with disabilities and other disadvantaging conditions," said MCGHI Director of Environmental Services Darrill Greene.
The criteria used for selection of Employer of the Year include the number of employees hired through the work program, type of accommodations made to assist them and the nature of the disability.
"We focus on hiring diverse employees who will provide good customer service," said MCGHI Employment Specialist Leonard Alfred.
Easter Seals provides training for people with all kinds of disabilities � individuals who have been disabled through illness, accident or aging, as well as people born with disabilities.
