Marcus Fulcher, M.D. is currently an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Co-Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Service at the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky, and his M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Fulcher completed his residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, and a Hand Fellow, Mary S. Stern Hand Surgery Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH. He is currently President of the Georgia Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Fulcher has numerous publications, presentations and abstracts in the field of Hand and Upper Extremity and is currently involved in research activities to include: The Etiology of Heterotopic Ossification of the Elbow, Repair of Distal biceps ruptures through Single Incision Bone Bridge Technique, and The Effect of Teriparatide on Distal Radial Fracture Healing.

Marc Edward Ward, M.D. is the newest addition to the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Orthopaedics serving as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery with a sub-specialty of Shoulder and Joint Replacement. He is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College, M.D. University of Louisville School of Medicine, and completed his Orthopaedic residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Ward completed a fellowship in Shoulder and Joint Replacement with Dr. George M. McCluskey, Columbus, Georgia. He currently is seeing patients at the Medical College of Georgia and Physician’s Practice at Lake Oconee.

Norman B. Chutkan, M.D.

Norman Chutkan, M.D. is currently an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a graduate of the University of Miami and Howard University College of Medicine. Dr. Chutkan completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Howard University and a clinical fellowship in spine surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, LA. He has served as Co-director and Chief of Spine Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center as well as Assistant Professor. Dr. Chutkan has numerous publications and presentations in the field of spinal surgery, and is currently involved in research activities to include: Thoracoscopic Instrumentation Correction of Scoliosis, and Osteogenic and Osteoinductive characteristics of Iliac Crest Bone Marrow Aspirate.

Montgomery (Monte) David Hunter, MD
Dr. Hunter, Medical Director of the MCG Sports Medicine Center since the fall of 2001, has been involved in the care of athletes and active individuals for 15 years. He is sports medicine fellowship trained in both primary care and orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Hunter sees patients with a variety of injuries and has a special interest in injuries and disorders of the knee and shoulder. He utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and specializes in arthroscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgical procedures in the treatment of sports injuries. Research interests include knee ligament reconstruction and injury prevention in female athletes.
Prior to joining the MCG Sports Medicine Center, Dr. Hunter was a team physician for UCLA's intercollegiate teams and athletes. In addition, he was an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine. He has served as a Team Physician at Wake Forest University while working as an assistant professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Hunter has worked with many athletes and teams at the collegiate and professional level. He was selected to be Team Physician for the ACC All-Star basketball team and has served as a team physician for the Italian Olympic Team training in North Carolina for the Atlanta games. He has also served as the medical director for national, professional and charity golf tournaments.

R. Scott Corpe, M.D. is currently Director of the Center for Joint Replacement at the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and has been so since 1996. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech, and the Medical College of Georgia. He did his residency in the military at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and Eisenhower Army Medical Center. He had post doctoral training in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Orthopaedic pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, and Orthotics and Prosthetics for Physicians and Surgeons at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois. He also received fellowship training in Total Joint Replacement at Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute and Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Campbell Foundation, University of Tennessee. Dr. Corpe serves as Co-Director, AAIDRF-MCG Implant Retrieved Center, has served as Principle Investigator on numerous research grants and studies, and has published, presented, and coordinated a multitude of articles, presentations, and seminars on Total Joint Replacement and Orthopaedic related topics. His current research interests include:
Biomechanical Testing of Orthopaedic Implants in Bone Models, Clinical Assessment of an oblong acetabular component; total hip replacement in patients with sickle cell anemia, ceramic-on-ceramic total hip replacement and the use of a proximally modular hip stem system in primary revision of total hip replacements.

Timothy R. Young, D.O. is currently Chief of Orthopaedics, Veterans Affairs Medical Center Augusta, Georgia. He is Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia and Medical Director for the MCG Bone and Tissue Bank. He is a graduate of West Point, John Hopkins, and Philadelphia College of Medicine. Dr. Young currently serves as a member on the Board of Trustees Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, and received the F.H. Bliven Faculty Award for outstanding contributions to the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in 2000 and 2004. He has written numerous articles and publications, and has served as principle investigator on a variety of research and training grants. He specializes in Total Joint Replacement’s at the VA.
