Business and Civic Leaders Attend CSRA in Scrubs August 4, 2008 Augusta, GA--
Eighteen business and civic leaders from across the area recently became the third graduating class from the MCGHealth CSRA in Scrubs event. Participants "scrubbed in" for the day to learn about the inner workings of an academic medical center, including how an organ or tumor can be removed laparoscopically using special surgical tools; how heavy a protective lead apron can become when on your feet for a heart procedure in the Electrophysiology Laboratory; how clinicians, patients and families get through tough ethical dilemmas in healthcare; and what the environment is like for children and patients in the MCGHealth Children’s Medical Center.
