Program Asks, What Is It Like To Have Multiple Sclerosis?June 28, 2007Augusta, Ga.

The Augusta Multiple Sclerosis Center, a partnership between the MCG Neuroscience Center and Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, presents “Living With MS as a Family” on Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at Fort Discovery, One 7th St., downtown Augusta.

The free event allows children and adults to learn and experience what it’s like to have MS through interactive games, discussions and more. Speakers include Dr. Mary Hughes, Medical Director of the Augusta MS Center, and Barbara Burk, physician assistant at the Augusta MS Center. An agenda is attached.

Admission to the event and to Fort Discovery, as well as a box lunch, are provided compliments of Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals. Attendees are invited to remain and explore Fort Discovery’s other interactive exhibits during the afternoon.
