MCG Health System’s Volunteen Board Accepting Donations for Hospitalized Teens and ChildrenNovember 12, 2007Augusta, Ga.

The season for giving is here, and MCG Health System’s Volunteen Board is asking for donations of new children’s books, word puzzles and teen magazines to distribute to hospitalized children and adolescents. The Board will collect the items during the Columbia County Christmas Tree Lighting, December 1, 2007, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Columbia County Memorial Garden and Amphitheatre.

The Volunteen Board is composed of high school students from Columbia, Richmond and Lincoln County public schools as well as private school students, all of whom served in the health system’s six-week Volunteen summer program.
