RHONDA GRAYBEAL ELECTED TO MCGHI BOARD OF
DIRECTORS
Augusta, GA - Rhonda S. Graybeal has been elected
to serve a three-year term on the MCG Health, Inc. Board of
Directors. Ms. Graybeal will replace D. Douglas Barnard as one of
six public at-large members of the board.
Ms.
Graybeal was one of the first women on the East Coast to hold a
chief marketing officer position with a manufacturing company
serving national and international markets. In 1971, she returned
to Augusta, where she started the first of two successful retail
businesses, Pants Circus Jean Company. Upon the sale of seven Pants
Circus Jean Company locations in Georgia and South Carolina in
1981, she started Hang-Ups Custom Framing and Art Gallery, which
currently employs five and occupies a 4,000-square-foot
facility.
After
serving two years on the Board of Directors of Adas Yeshurun
Synagogue, Ms. Graybeal was elected in 1992 to serve as the first
woman president in its 120-year history. In addition, she is a
member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and is
on the advisory board of the Augusta-Richmond County Small Business
Incubator. She has served on and presided over a number of
community civic and social service organizations, including Rotary
Club of Augusta, Safe Homes and Leadership Augusta.
Ms.
Graybeal as been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary
International and was named Volunteer of the Year 2001 for her many
years of service to the Children's Heart Volunteer Council. This
year she received the Volunteer of the Year award for her service
to MCG's Children's Medical
Center.
