Nationally Recognized Speaker

Paula Statman, the award-winning author of Raising Careful, Confident Kids in a Crazy World, will bring her wit and wisdom to the Savannah Rapids Pavilion (Augusta, GA) on Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. She will present "Life on a Balance Beam: It Helps If You Don't Look Down!" based on her newest book. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple and can be ordered by calling 706-721-KIDS (5437). The event is presented by the Medical College of Georgia Children's Medical Center.

Ms. Statman has earned international acclaim for delivering an enduring message filled with down-to-earth wisdom, inspiration, humor and music. She combines the teaching skills of an educator, the insight of a psychologist and the talent of an entertainer to deliver a thoroughly engaging program. Thousands of people have benefited from her ability to "lift spirits, light lights and change lives."

Ms. Statman holds a bachelor's degree in education, a master's degree in social work and is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of California. She frequently appears on shows such as "Oprah" and the "Today Show". Her views and articles have been published in Redbook, Parents and New Woman to name a few. She also directs the KidWISE Institute in Oakland, Calif.
