The Section of Plastic Surgery provides expertise in all areas of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery for adult and pediatric patients. Services offered include digital limb replantation, flap surgery including free flaps, difficult reconstructive procedures, aesthetic surgery, treatment of cleft lip deformities and cleft palate deformities, craniofacial deformities, maxillofacial trauma, hand trauma, congenital deformities and head and neck cancer. Section physicians collaborate with those in Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery and other services as necessary to treat and reconstruct difficult surgical wounds. Specific research interests include wound healing, microvascular surgery, endoscopic surgery and investigations of tissue adhesives such as Fibrin glue.
