Second Annual 5K Run/Walk
The second annual Heart & Sole 5K run/walk was held Saturday, March 8 at the MCGHealth Children's Medical Center. The walk/run and the evening event raised $30,000 and will help fund pediatric cardiology and NICU, with Camp Strong Heart and specialized equipment.

Heart and Sole, Inc. is a non-profit organization that benefits MCGHealth Children's Medical Center Heart Program. Heart and Sole was founded in September 2006 in memory of Margaret Bowen McElreath. In July 2005, Bowen was born with a special heart. At three days old, Bowen was transported to MCGHealth Children’s Medical Center where she became a member of the Children’s Heart Program family. Our hope is that we can help every child that has a special heart and assist their families with the best support possible.
